Cool re-issue of their first ever single from 1979. Two cool stompers that easily rank among the best theyve done. Really nice recordings. Of course youll find these on the On Fire and Lyres Lyres lps. But its a cool lil fortyfive.
Hello dear readers of One Chord Progression!
For our 100th post, we thought we’d bring you something a little out of the ordinary.
Here, for your reading pleasure, is not only an interview with THE Jeff Conolly of Boston’s Lyres, but also our email exchange pre-interview (with his permission). It was too good to keep to ourselves.
North London's Dirty Water Club time travels to 1979 for its third single release, a reissue of Lyres' debut single. For those who don't know, the Lyres are a great Boston band and real Children of Nuggets, whose sound is driven by Jeff Conolly's frantic keyboards.
