Lagrosse Radio: Hipbone Slim and the Kneetremblers "Ugly Mobile"

(English translation below)

Uberrock: Hipbone Slim and the Kneetremblers "Ugly Mobile"

Hipbone Slim And The Kneetremblers is a band that plays proper rock ’n’ roll!

Now I know we use the term rock ‘n’ roll quite a bit (like most websites/magazine do) when it’s not really rock ‘n roll music we’re talking about. Sir Bald Diddley (aka Hipbone Slim) and his gang though take all their influences from the roots of rock ’n’ roll, yet give it their own unique stamp and energy, playing their take on rock ’n’ roll with a garage band swagger and enthusiasm.

jatstorey.com: The Kneejerk Reactions "The Indestructible Sounds of the ..."

Ever been struck with nostalgia for a time before you were born?  Possibly for a time that mostly pretty mythical anyway? No, I’m not talking about spicing up things in the boudoir by having a quick game of Guinevere and Sir Lances-a-Lot, I’m talking about The Indestructible Sounds Of the Kneejerk Reactions, an album that’s simultaneously from 2013 and fifty years before that.  So if you’ll just step this way into my time-travelling garage, folks.

Raw Power Magazine: The Kneejerk Reactions "The Indestructible Sounds Of"

Each year seems to bring new stamped out Sir Bald Diddley when it is not under the name, it is under Hipbone Slim, Nine Your Peanut Smugglers or under Kneejerk Reactions.
One swims here in the british happy 1960's, somewhere between Dowliner Sect and Animals. And as usual with and it is beautiful work, a strong and effective.

Distorsioni: Beat Seeking Missiles: "Break My Fall" b/w "Doctor Strangelove"

Best record of the trio, however, is Break My Fall / Doctor Strangelove. Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love the Beat Seeking Missiles, and movie buffs will recognize the kilometric title a reference to Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove and the imaginary sci-fi sixties (the whole thing is played on graphical poster of the film).

Reseña: Hipbone Slim Vs Sir Bald - Hipbone Slim Vs Sir Bald (Dirty Water Records, 2012)

Mientras que el segundo disco contiene otras 20 canciones pero ahora de Louie And The Louies, The Kneejerk Reactions y The Legs.

Fungal Punk: The Kneejerk Reactions "The Indestructible Sounds Of ..."

Lo-fi rock and roll freakoid innocence here delivered with a mustard vigour and retro polished accuracy, The Kneejerk Reactions do what they want to do and do it most excellently (so I am told). This CD was received via the Dirty Water machine and duly spun to buggery before putting digit to board - excuse me for being so swift with the intro, much to do, many songs to plough through, here is the main meat of the matter.

The RingMaster Review: Hipbone Slim vs. Sir Bald

Playing like a schizophrenic battle of the bands within the insatiable creativity of one man ably aided by his equally skilled and hungry cohorts, Hipbone Slim vs. Sir Bald is simply one thrilling treat to let loose all those inhibitions to. The album is a forty track double CD release bursting with unadulterated goodness and mastery from the King of UK rock n roll, Sir Bald Diddley.

The RingMaster Review: Beat Seeking Missiles "Break My Fall"

Warm, enthusiastic and completely magnetic, the debut single from Beat Seeking Missiles jumps all over the ear to offer riotous beats, melodically curved grooves, and insistent energy.  ‘Break My Fall’/’Dr. Strangelove’ knows what it has and is unashamed in bringing it directly and openly to one’s senses.

SoundsXP: Hipbone Slim and the Kneetremblers "Square Guitar"

Led by the prolific Sir Bald Diddley, Hipbone Slim & The Kneetremblers have become something of a cult sensation thanks to four albums of accomplished rock 'n' roll fundamentalism and regular appearances on Mark Lamarr's radio show. Harsh critics may single out the unwillingness to deviate from the primitive rhythm and blues blueprint as their downfall, but this would be a failure to understand the objective of the group.

The Ringmaster: The Kneejerk Reactions "The Indestructible Sounds of..."

With a list of impossibly flavoursome bands and addictively thrilling releases on a CV longer than the list of excuses for Luis Suarez’s recent mid-match snack, the ubiquitous veteran rocker Sir Bald Diddley (aka Hipbone Slim) brings one of those stirring incitements out to play with a brand new album. The Indestructible Sounds Of The… is the new feverishly fleshed, raw breathed proposition from The Kneejerk Reactions, a release which casts out a rampant revelry of feet inducing garage bred rock ‘n’ roll aligned to a passion sparking sixties beat tempting.
