The Sons Of Bido Lito began to germinate in the summer of 2011, rehearsing in a greenhouse alongside a Yardbirds record, a case of Löwenbräu and a compilation of Oliver Reed outtakes.

Their pounding jungle drums will knock your teeth out. The Beefhearty bass will get your foot tappin' like a Mississippi bluesman. The keys unsettle you like a weird travelling carnival. And the guitars twang like a Link Wray rumble.

Then they get interesting.

Alongside shows with Primal Scream, James Skelly and Jacco Gardener, the likes of FIFA 15 and Heineken have been queuing at the door to use their mind bending melodies for their online commercials.

The Bido Lito's released their debut EP "Bido Music" in April 2013 with only 200 copies hitting the shelves. It proved popular with fans and critics alike with the record completely selling out and legendary DJ Gary Crowley singling out Movin' An A Groovin' as his track of the week for both his Amazing Radio and Radio London shows.

It was followed up in November with the stand alone single "Gamma Ray!", recorded at legendary Newcastle studios, Blast. It helped the lads bag themselves a publishing deal with Wipeout music which resulted in FIFA using Gamma Ray! as the title track for their YouTube goal of the month video that has went onto have well over 1 million hits. Heineken were also hot on their heals using "Coco Bongo" for their Champions league coverage with Ruud Gullit, although they were slightly gutted they weren't granted a free tour of the brewery in return.  Eh, you lose a few pints of mediocre lager here, you gain 2,000,000 Youtube hits there....

They hit the road over the next few weeks starting with:

27th September: TS1, Middlesborough
2nd October: London single launch, Pipeline, London
7th October: The Cluny, Newcastle (with Barrence Whitfield & The Savages)

And more to come!
